Our brain has millions and millions of cells. Cells in the brain which are affected by MDMA are called neurons. As neurons allow certain regions of the brain to interact with one another they are very important. Internet is a very helpful model when imagining the neurons in the brain.Internet makes the interaction between different people from many different regions easier.Neurons can be picturised as people and regions of the globe are like regions of the brain which consist of millions of neurons. As regions of the globe (regions of the brain) can converse via the internet but this totally depends on the individual connections among the people (neurons).

Unlike other cells, neurons are usually shaped like trees and from there the dendrites branch out like the top of a tree and the single axon travels out like trunk.Information is received through the dendrites from other neurons and then it is passed down to the cell body where the information is processed.

Further, this information is then passed along through the neuron’s trunk or axon. Roots of the neuron are found at the end of the axon.Terminal branches extend to where they can directly pass messages to the dendrites of other neurons. Messages are passed from the little round knobs at the end of the axon called as terminal buttons. The chemical messengers float around in the synaptic gap, until they connect to the dendrites of the other neurons. Relay of a message from one neuron to another is called Neurotransmission.
